Congratulations Ray Casabonne!
The Moraga Citizen of the Year Committee is proud to announce that Ray Casabonne has been selected as Moraga's 45th honoree!
Ray is well-known in many community circles for his volunteer services across a range of organizations as well as his leadership in the Lions Club. An over-40 year resident of Moraga, Ray has coached countless LMYA and CYO teams, volunteered in leadership positions at the swim club, does free tax work with Tax Aide, has dedicated countless hours volunteering at Saint Monica's Church, worked for years with Muffin People, and has joined community efforts to put on the 4th of July celebration, the summer concerts, and the Pear Festival. Described as dedicated, selfless, compassionate, hardworking, humble, and gracious, the depth and breadth of Ray's commitment to our community epitomizes what Moraga volunteerism is all about.
We hope you will join the community celebration to honor Ray on Sunday afternoon, April 27, at the Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church from 4 - 6 p.m. Tickets for the reception and program will be available for purchase beginning on Thursday, April 3, at www.MCNMoraga.org.
Moraga Citizens Network wants to thank the many Moraga residents who submitted an historic number of nominees for this honor. We have so many deserving community-minded people in our town who give so much!
