First Communion is celebrated during the Easter season. This year children who have completed two years of Faith Formation and are in second grade or older will receive their First Communion.
Parents are asked to take an active role in their child's spiritual development by practicing their Catholic faith, attending Mass on Sunday with their child(ren), attending the Sacramental Preparation Session for both parents, embracing the instruction given by the Faith Formation teachers, encouraging their child(ren)to participate in the activities leading them to the sacramental celebrations, and ensuring their child(ren) attend the scheduled Faith Formation classes.
